These terms govern your use of rubalume.com and any order you place on it. Please read them alongside our Shipping Policy and our Return and Refund Policy, which form part of them.

Who you are dealing with

Rubalume is a Japan-based brand that ships to customers in the United States from a warehouse in the United States. Both halves of that are true at once, so we state them together rather than making you infer either.

This store is operated under the trade name Rubalume, from Japan. That is our company address, and it is where the business is registered and answers from. It is not where your order comes from: our stock is held in the United States and every parcel is dispatched from there. You can reach us at support@rubalume.com, and we answer within 1 business day.

Products and descriptions

We describe every product using the specifications published by its manufacturer, and we say so plainly when a figure is not published rather than estimating one. Product photography is illustrative. Colours may vary between screens.

Wellness products, not medical devices

The products sold here are general wellness and lifestyle products. They are not medical devices, and nothing on this site is medical advice. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, are taking medication, are sensitive to light, or are under the care of a physician, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use. Follow the instructions supplied with your device, do not look directly into the light, and stop using it if you experience irritation or discomfort.

Where we ship

We sell and deliver within the United States only, and every order is dispatched from our warehouse in the United States, so there are no customs charges or import duties on it. By placing an order you confirm the delivery address is in the United States. Timings are in our Shipping Policy.

Prices, orders and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change without notice. Payment is taken at checkout through our payment processor; we never see or store your full card details. We may refuse or cancel an order, including where a price or a product description was published in error, and where we do we refund you in full.

Your account and conduct

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details to yourself and for activity under your account. Do not use this site to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to interfere with how the site works.

Our content

The text, photography and design on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be copied or reused commercially without our written consent.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute that cannot be resolved between us will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Chiba District Court, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of the place where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it.
